Junior World Champs ?Apologies if this has been covered... but why didn't Germany send a team / riders to the Junior World Champs in Cingoli, Italy this year??
Re: Junior World Champs ?Hello Vurb,i think the big Problem, like always, is the Money...The Federation (DMSB)doesnt care if a German Team shows up at the Worlds most important Race for the Young Guns!We used to have DMSB Junior Team a few Years ago,but i dont know what happend to that.I know that there is a Programm from the ADAC (big Automobilclub over here at Germany)that support some upcoming Guys with Money, but they dont select a Team for Events like that.
I think there were some German Riders lining up on Saturday, but didnt make it to the Mains on Sunday And all i know is that they were all on there own, there was no offical Team like u guys have! I believe we have some German guys with serious skills, but a lot of them struggling with the Money The next thing is,that last Weekend was a Round for the German Masters Series,3 Classes -Masters -Youngsters(250f/125) -Juniors (85) So the good Riders had to ride there,if they dont want to lose Points in the Championship!
Re: Junior World Champs ?Also our last Years 85ccm Worldchamp is still recovering from a bad Injury!
Re: Junior World Champs ?Jacobi and Ekerold wouldve gone, but both injured :/
And there were some german riders - not actually a team - but none of them qualified... And as said unfortunately the overlap with the adac race.. Most 125cc riders went there instead
Re: Junior World Champs ?I'm actually an Englishman working for Vurbmoto so believe me when i say that the ACU (our governing body) helps out zero with our riders as well... we don't even get team shirts to make us look professional
![]() But yes, i was wondering what happened to Jacobi and Ekerold... obviously i saw last year's results and figured they'd want another go at winning... didn't know that they were injured. It's a shame when talent is held back by money... this year was a really cool event and it seems to growing everytime i go, so hopefully in 2012 you'll be able to field another strong team. I know the Americans have only just started to take it seriously, so hopefully that'll spur on us Brits and you Germans to really help challenge them thank you for answering my questions though... and sorry about saying no German riders went, i did check the entry list after posting and saw a couple of German names, so apologies to those riders
